Ticketmaster is one of the world's largest ticket marketplaces and are partners with event organizers to make tickets available through their platform or application. Ticket master is partners with over 22 companies and has up to 5,000 employees.
Ticketmaster had a data breach by a notorious hacking group claimed to have exfiltrated the information of 560 million users, asking $500,000 for the data ransom. These hackers are suspected to teenagers who threaten to put up the company's data for sale in the dark web. The data of both the employees and customers are at risk. The threat actor who took credit for the Snowflake campaign stated last week in an interview with Hudson Rock that they obtained information from Ticketmaster as well as companies like Anheuser-Busch, Allstate, Advance Auto Parts, Mitsubishi, Neiman Marcus, Progressive, Santander Bank, and State Farm.
In mid-May, Santander Bank said that unauthorized access had been made to one of its databases, which was housed by a third-party provider. The bank claimed that the information contained in the database included information on all of its current and former employees as well as clients in Chile, Spain, and Uruguay.
The threat actor asserted that the Snowflake incident may have affected about 400 firms in total and stated that they desired $20 million from Snowflake in return for the information.
