CDK Global cyberattack still crippling car dealers

 Dealerships have been rendered completely unusable for days by an ongoing cyberattack at CDK Global, whose software is used by dealerships to handle everything from scheduling to recordkeeping, and there doesn't appear to be an end in sight.   Ambulances from many of Ascension's hospitals were rerouted in May due to a cyberattack on the nonprofit network, which is headquartered in St. Louis and consists of 140 hospitals spread over 19 states. The problem took nearly a month to completely fix.

Additionally, a ransomware assault on Change Healthcare, a division of the massive healthcare organization UnitedHealth Group, in February disrupted pharmacy billing across the United States and threatened to bankrupt certain healthcare providers.  Ambulances from many of Ascension's hospitals were rerouted in May due to a cyberattack on the nonprofit network, which is headquartered in St. Louis and consists of 140 hospitals spread over 19 states. According to experts, hackers are becoming craftier and are able to remain hidden in an organization's networks for extended periods of time. In an effort to gain more financial power, these hackers target businesses using supply chain-style attacks, bringing down whole sectors. Furthermore, sectors like healthcare that frequently employ antiquated technologies are becoming ever more vulnerable.
